Snowflake Fun Christmas Cards

I always suggest to beginning card makers to start making cards at Christmastime.  Christmas cards are the most versatile cards to make, and most everyone can punch out or die cut a snowflake and match it up with a paper.  It is simple for anyone.  Best of all, it is a great way to spend a cold, rainy or snowy day with the kids.

These are a few cards I put together using a little bit of paper and ribbon.  The rest are die cut or punched snowflakes.

As always, all of my cards are for sale at my Ebay store; Kimberz Kreations .

I also sell card making, paper crafting and scrapbooking supplies and embellishments so you can create your own little beauties.  I would love to have you stop by.

This week on Ebay, I have a great deal on ribbon and Sizzix Framelit Dies.

Please feel free to leave your suggestions or comments.  I would love to hear what your thoughts are.

Thank you for stopping by!

Simple Handmade Christmas Cards

I think that I am finally getting the hang of this Christmas Card making thing (joking!).

These cards were created with punches, dies and scrap paper.  I rarely throw away any paper scraps.  There is always a card that can use event the smallest scrap.  Scraps are the best paper to use with punches, in my opinion.

Whenever I start getting too many scraps in my drawer, I will take a few minutes and cut them down to shapes: hearts, stars, snowflakes, squares, circles, etc.  It saves a lot of time later.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Remember to get out there are create!

If you would like to see all of my Christmas card bundles, you are always welcome to stop by my Ebay store at Kimberz Kreations .

If you have any suggestions or comments, I would love for you to leave those as well.

Christmas Card Kreations

As promised, I want to share some of the kreations I have made with stamps, stickers and dies.  This experiment was a fun and educational one.  I learned that you can make beautiful cards with stickers, but not all stickers work well.

Tell me what you think:

These are just a few examples of the cards that I made with some stickers.

To give a little credit, I used Paper Studio stickers that can be purchased at Hobby Lobby stores.  The ones that I used where purchased last Christmas season, so I don't know if they will still be available this year.

If you would like to see all of my sticker card kreations, stop by my Ebay store and check out all my Christmas card bundles.  If you don't have time to create your own cards, I would certainly appreciate your business.

Thank you again for stopping by the ole blog.  Please feel free to leave any suggestions or comments.  I would love to hear from you.

Christmas Card - Snowy Peaks and Trees

I recently had the opportunity to try out a new technique that I have found all over Pinterest.  It looked so difficult to do, but all the instructional videos and blogs stated that it was easy.  I just was not a believer until I tried it out for myself.  Guess what?  It was super easy.

I found as I put the first of the ink on the paper that it looked like it was going on too dark.  I simply sponged some of the dark ink out with a lighter shade.  It still did not look right to me.....until, I added the trees.  WOW!

Here is what it came out to look like:

Not too bad for my first attempt, if I do say so myself (patting myself on the back).

As with most stampers and papercrafters, I have a mile long list of stamps, sets, dies, etc. that I want.  I never really considered Stampin' Up's Lovely As A Tree at the top.  It is now!

As I started this technique, I realized that in all of my hundreds of Christmas stamps, I didn't really have a good pine tree stamp.  My momentary solution was a gorgeous, glitter sticker sheet that I purchased at Hobby Lobby last season.  (It is by Paper Studios)

I think it worked out great for a test card.  I was also able to make this next card with the same type of sticker sheet.  This card turned out beautifully too.

After making these two cards, I got another of my bright ideas!  I will make some cards with some stickers that I have been holding on to!

As with many crafters, I purchase a lot of products with good intentions.  You know what they say about those.  So, I made the decision to create with my stickers, stamps and dies.  Any kreation you make it beautiful to someone, even if it isn't you.

I cannot say that I am overly proud of all the results, but I loved a lot of them.  Over the next week or so, I will be sharing them with you.

All of these cards can be found at my Ebay store.

This week at the store, you can also find some new Sizzix Framelit Dies (circles, scallop circles and hearts).  They are a great price, so stop by and grab a deal!

Non-Traditional Colored Christmas Cards

We all love Christmas.  Some of us not as much as we used to, but there are not that many people in the world that can truly say that they hate the holidays.  That would be like hating Disney World.  You always see smiles at the holidays (and at Disney)!

I have always loved all the colors of the holidays.  From all the fall colors, all the way through Christmas.  But, sometimes, by the time that December 25th gets here, I have to admit, I am sick of seeing red and green.

Thank goodness these modern times allow each of us to have our own style.  Over the past few years, more and more you will find what are considered non-traditional Christmas colors.  You can find them on anything from cards to Christmas trees and everything in between.  It is no longer simply red, green, silver and gold.  Our society has introduced gorgeous colors like teal, pink, bright green, even black and so many others.

I am personally happy to see these colors in holiday cards and decorations.  In fact, I haven't even used the usual red and green in my decor in years.  My new favorites are teal blue, pinks and mint greens.  To see these colors together on your tree seems to brighten the entire room.  It is the same with your Christmas cards!

When you are creating, never be afraid to step outside of your (and anyone elses') comfort zone.  Some of the best projects come from someone stepping outside of the box.  This type of thinking is how Pinterest come about in the first place.

Bring on the Holidays

It's already beginning to be a busy holiday season here at Kimberz Kreations!

It is probably a good thing that I never have to photograph my craft room.  It is a disaster at the moment.  As with most creative types, I know exactly where everything is.  I could not say that about anyone else that tried to find anything in there.  My first project once the holidays are complete, reorganize that mess! (If I don't have enough and do it before then.)  Now you know my dirty little secret.

Back to why you are really here.  You got it!  New designs for Christmas.

I hope you enjoy these traditional colored cards.  They are fun with lots of sparkle and layers.

I am excited about a few ideas that are floating around in this creative head of mine.  If you are a creative type, you know what I mean.  You just can not concentrate on anything else until you get your ideas out.  I have been working on finishing a couple of other projects the past few days and I'm about to explode if I do not get them out.

The plan is:  Next week I hope to have completed a few cards trying out some new techniques.  I have always created by cards fairly simply using embellishments alone.  I want to try out a few things that I have noticed on Pinterest.  If you would like to see some of my Pinterest boards, follow me here:  Kimberz Kreations on Pinterest .

Whether you have been following me or this is your first visit to my blog.  Welcome!  I am not the most professional blogger, but I like to have fun with it.

I would love for you to visit my Ebay store.  I not only sell my handmade cards there, but I also sell a lot of embellishments and other craft items in order for you to get creative.  When I am out shopping for my own supplies, I often find great deals on quality products.  I love to share those great deals with others.  Stop by Kimberz Kreations Ebay Store to see the deals you can take advantage of.  New products and handmade cards are added often.

Thank you again for coming along with me on this journey.

Christmas Cards - New Designs Now Available!

New Christmas card designs are now available!

It is becoming evident that I may be a bit obsessed with Christmas cards.  I just can't stop making them.  When I am not making them, I am looking for new and inventive ways to make them.  Maybe I should be seeking a support group :).

The newest designs are full of traditional and non-traditional colors.  I have attempted some new techniques, or new to me techniques.  Also, I have tried to add more layers and dimension to really make each card pop.

Unlike most card makers, I rarely make more than one of a particular design.  When I send out my holiday greetings every year, I want each person to feel the joy that I feel in picking that card out for them.  As it is a personal choice, I have never quite understood sending every person you know the exact same card.  How does that make them feel special to you?

As you know by now, if you like a particular design, you should act fast and visit my store on Ebay at: Kimberz Kreations .  These cards will go fast!

Because it is still early in the season, I am still taking special orders on Christmas cards.  Keep in mind that some cards cannot be replicated due to supply limitations.  (Some of the embellishments that I use may no longer be available.)  I am happy to fill orders using color combinations of your choice.

Don't delay in getting your orders in.  I will only consider special orders until October 30.

Keep watching to see what kreations will be available next.

It's Christmas in OCTOBER!

As I am currently working non-stop on Christmas greeting cards, it seems like it is Christmas everyday....at least in my heart.  In order to create these cards, I have to have some Christmas spirit.  You must always put your heart into whatever you are creating.

Have I actually listened to Christmas carols yet?  Why, yes, I have.

Here are some more cards I would like to share with you.

Many ask what products that I actually use when creating my cards.  First, I am do not give my creations to one company or the other.  I use the things that I like before I even pay attention to the name.  However, I do use alot of Stampin' Up and Sizzix products for stamping and die cutting.

Many of my embellishments are either handmade/cut by myself or I use any product that will fit on the kreation I am currently working on.  I like to use alot of Michael's/Recollections brand because they provide great looking embellishments at the lowest prices I can find.

I have found that if you become completely partial to one brand, you will miss out on other great products that may be out there.  Always use the products that work best for you and your craft.

Time for you to stop by and visit us at Kimberz Kreations to see all my products.  I do not limit my store to my cards and kreations alone.  I also provide great prices on the same type of products that I use.  This way you can create your own beauties.
